# Change Completed status of an activity

> Change Completed status of an activity

When you consider that an [activity][1] is finished, you can mark it as completed.

**Completed** is a toggle option, which you activate and deactivate using the same menu option or shortcut key. A tick (<i class="ph ph-check" aria-label="Completed follow-up" />) specifies that the activity is **Completed**.

## Steps

1. Do one of the following:

   * Right-click the activity and choose **Completed**.
   * Mark the checkbox in the **Completed** column in the **Activities** section tab.
   * Open the follow-up and select **Completed**.

2. Mark/clear the checkbox in the footer of the Follow-up dialog.

  To edit a completed activity, you must first uncheck the **Completed** status.

  Follow-ups of attendees are completed automatically
</h2>

When you are the owner of a follow-up with attendees, for example a [meeting][2], and you mark it as **Completed**, the linked follow-ups of all attendees are marked as completed too. Attendees only need to complete the follow-ups where they have invited others.
