# Pin SuperOffice for Outlook

> Keep the SuperOffice for Outlook panel open while you read and write emails.

Pin SuperOffice for Outlook to keep the panel open as you move between emails. We recommend pinning it.

You can pin the panel when you take action on a received email from your inbox, and when you write an email. You can't pin it in calendar events.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Pinning is a per-panel action. Pinning the panel for a received email doesn't pin the panel when you write an email, and the other way around. Pin each panel separately.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Selecting the **X** in the panel doesn't just close SuperOffice for Outlook, it also unpins it. This is Microsoft's default behavior for Outlook add-ins, and SuperOffice can't change it. To get the panel back after you've selected **X**, \[open the add-in]\[1] and pin it again.

## Pin while reading an email

1. [Open SuperOffice for Outlook][1].

2. Select the **Pin** icon in the SuperOffice panel.

The panel stays open when you read other emails. It doesn't stay open when you write an email. [Pin that panel separately](#pin-composing).

## Pin while writing an email

Pinning keeps the panel open while you write, so you can review the archiving details before you send.

1. Select **New mail** in Outlook.

2. [Open SuperOffice for Outlook][1].

3. Select the **Pin** icon in the SuperOffice panel.

The panel stays open while you write this email. It isn't pinned for received emails. [Pin that panel separately](#pin-reading).

## Calendar events

Outlook doesn't let you pin add-ins in calendar events. This is a Microsoft limitation. When you [add CRM data to a calendar event][2], open SuperOffice for Outlook from the event each time.

## Unpin SuperOffice for Outlook

Select the **Pin** icon again. Selecting the **X** in the panel also unpins the add-in.
