# Save a file from a Teams channel

> How to save a file from a standard Teams channel to SuperOffice.

When you're in a standard channel, you can also save a single file. How the file option becomes available depends on how you started the archive:

* **Started from a message:** The Save File button is enabled if that specific message contains a file.
* **Started from the compose bar:** The Save File button is enabled if the channel contains any files. Use the file picker to select which files to archive.

The file picker lists files found based on the above, each with a status icon:

* **Green check:** Already archived to SuperOffice. Shows when and by whom.
* **File icon:** Not yet archived. Ready to save.
* **Red warning:** File is too large to archive.

The file picker is single-select - you can choose one file at a time. Saving a file with the same name always creates a new document in SuperOffice (overwriting is not supported yet).

There is a file size limit of 94 MB.

## Choosing where it goes in SuperOffice

Whether you're saving a chat or a file, you'll fill in a few details so the archive lands in the correct place. See [Archive a conversation][1] for a full description of these fields.
